Every
single product manufactured under the Marson name embodies
quality of the highest order. We firmly believe in keeping
stringent control over every aspect of the manufacturing
process of our products, right from resourcing the right
raw material to its packaging and export. After all, our
customers deserve nothing but the best.

To this end, our manufacturing facility is situated
in Tenkasi, a hamlet in the heart of the luxuriant
Southern Indian plains. Blessed with a climate that
is conducive to rich fertility, Tenkasi is one of
the most sumptuous coconut-growing belts in the Indian
sub-continent. Its strategic location enables our
facility to avail of a wealth of resources in the
form of superior coconut husk, which forms an integral
part of our raw material.

Coconut husk, which is a by-product of the prosperous
coir industry in Tenkasi, is first soaked in water
and stripped of its fiber. The coir-pith or coir dust
remains unused and forms a by-product of the fibre
factory process. The pith is then put through rigourous
particle separation in order to remove large fibers
and maintain uniformity in size of the grains. The
size of the sieve employed for the process is determined
by the particle size of the final product in keeping
with client requirements.

The raw material is primarily processed to
check its EC, pH and levels of sand content. Only
the material that passes the test goes through the
chemical purification procedure. This is followed
by a process control test, which further checks for
EC and pH content. All the rejected raw material is
duly sent back for another round of chemical purification.
|
|
| |
After an exacting process of particle separation and
moisture level treatment, the material undergoes a
process check for bulk density. The product that passes
the test enters the drying process followed by another
check for BD and EC. On passing, it undergoes Microbial
and physical purification before heading for one final
quality test succeeding which the product is packaged.

The coir is then compressed into bricks, bales or
a plain powdered form to facilitate and simplify the
shipping of the product for export purposes. Immersing
it in a measured quantity of water enlarges the composted
and compressed coir pith, making it fluffy and ready
to use in agriculture.

Marson also undertakes the manufacture of products
as per client requirements in bulk orders, effectively
tailoring the product to suit the crops for which
the medium is used.
